<p class="concert-title">A Man of Influence: A tribute to Edmund Beilharz OAM</p>
<p>Conducted by Michael Bottomley</P>
<p>Our revered musical director of 12 years, Edmund Beilharz OAM, passed away in June 2009. Born into a community of German settlers in Palestine, Edmund and his family were transported to Australia and interned here during World War 2.  From that time, throughout his life, wherever he was, Edmund tirelessly created music in his community.  In Bendigo, as a school teacher, community member and, for us, as our musical director, he made an enormous contribution.  We miss him a lot.</p>
