<p><strong>Edmund Beilharz &#0151Memorial Concert early 2010</strong></p>

<p>Our revered musical director of 12 years, Edmund Beilharz OAM, passed away in June 2009. Born into a community of German settlers in Palestine, Edmund's family was transported to Australia to be interned here during World War 2.  From that time, throughout his life, wherever he was, Edmund tirelessly created music in his community.  In Bendigo, as a school teacher, community member and, for us, as our musical director, he made an enormous contribution.
